Vegan Pesto Sauce

Pesto is always best when it’s homemade

Ingredients

1 cup of organic basil leaves, washed

(optional use a handful of Tulsi in addition to your organic basil)*

1 cup of organic kale, washed

1/4 - 1/2 cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1/4 cup of pumpkin seeds, roasted (you can use raw seeds too)

3 cloves of garlic peeled and smashed

1/3 cup of nutritional yeast

1 tsp of salt

a pinch of black pepper

1 tsp of lemon juice

*Tulsi or Holy Basil and basil are amazing herbs to consume regularly. They are calming to our nervous systems and can help us relax and breathe deeply. Holy basil is amazing for anyone experiencing anxiety (like me, which means Pesto on everything for me #foodismedicine)
